We’ve been looking at some of the best and worst blackjack games in Las Vegas recently. There are plenty of 3:2 blackjack games in downtown Las Vegas. Many of those games have a minimum wager under $25. When you head over to the Vegas Strip there are more casinos but there might be fewer 3:2 blackjack games with a minimum wager under $25 available.
$25 limits are important for most recreational gamblers. Playing two or three red chips ($5 each) is a lot easier than playing a single green chip ($25 each) or more. The minimum wager is often more important to these players than the rules of the game.
The majority of the casinos dealing 3:2 blackjack games on the Vegas Strip are Caesars properties. According to the most recent blackjack survey, Caesars has eight (8) casinos on the Vegas Strip with 3:2 blackjack games under $25. There are more than 60 tables at Caesars Las Vegas casinos dealing 3:2 blackjack with a minimum wager under $25:
- Bally’s – 7 tables
- Caesars Palace – 12 tables
- Cromwell – 7 tables
- Flamingo – 2 tables
- Harrah’s – 5 tables
- The Linq – 2 tables (Note: O’Sheas casino is all 6:5 blackjack)
- Paris Las Vegas – 15 tables
- Planet Hollywood – 17 tables
The house edge for these 3:2 blackjack games at Caesars Las Vegas properties is 0.57. All of these games have the same rules:
- Eight (8) deck shoe
- Double on any first two cards
- Double after split
- Player may surrender
- Dealer hits on soft 17
- No resplitting aces
For what its worth, there are only four (4) other casinos on the Vegas Strip dealing 3:2 blackjack with a minimum bet under $25. Circus Circus, Sahara, and The Strat each have 3:2 blackjack games with a house edge of 0.64%.
Treasure Island has the best selection of 3:2 blackjack games under $25 on the Vegas Strip. The casino has 16 blackjack tables with a house edge of 0.46%.
These are all better than playing a 6:5 blackjack game.
Spotlight on Caesars
Caesars is one of the largest casino operators in the country. The company is about to be operated by executives from Eldorado Resorts. The merger between the two companies is expected to be completed by June at the latest.
When competition is at a minimum, there’s little motivation for corporations to offer better prices. In this case, we’re looking at better blackjack rules. The biggest competition for Caesars is MGM Resorts which has 9 casinos on the Vegas Strip. MGM Resorts Las Vegas casinos don’t offer a single 3:2 blackjack game for under $25.
Caesars is trying to separate itself by offering some affordable blackjack games at its properties. You may remember they upgraded blackjack and other games at The Cromwell a few years ago. Perhaps the casino operator has been seeing positive results and decided to test the waters by improving blackjack at its other properties.
Guests playing the improved blackjack games will give the new management at Caesars a reason to keep them around. These games are a great option for blackjack players who prefer playing better odds blackjack and don’t want to leave the Vegas Strip. There’s no guarantee that playing the 3:2 blackjack games at Caesars Las Vegas properties will keep them in casinos. It certainly can’t hurt. More importantly, playing these games should make your bankroll last longer over time.
